Edmonton Int'l Raceway is a 1⁄4-mile (400 m), paved oval auto racing facility, located outside Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada, approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of Edmonton. The track is the first in Alberta to be sanctioned by NASCAR, and hosts races in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. It hosted its first NASCAR Pinty's Series race in 2014.
Edmonton Int'l Raceway hosts the only race car experience on a NASCAR Track in Western Canada.
At EIR we do not allow outside food or liquor. We have a full service concession and a snack "shack" for popcorn, chocolate bars, chips & beverages. If you have special dietary needs, please contact us to arrange to bring those in for yourself. EIR is licensed for alcohol beverages.
Washrooms
Currently EIR has Port A Potties for washrooms. These are cleaned and sanitized before every race event and sanitized throughout the race night. EIR has portable handwash stations for handwashing and hand sanitizer is available throughout the faclity for your use.
Accessibility
EIR has great accessibility including parking close to the entrance, concrete pathways to the accessible washroom and ramps for accessible seating. 50/50 Draws
EIR invites Not for Profit Groups to host their 50/50 fundraising at EIR. Contact Loretta for more information.The 50/50’s at EIR are hosted by different Clubs. Each Club will determine their specific rules with respect to the 50/50 draws. Typically, if the 50/50 number is not claimed, a specific amount of time is given and then the Club will draw another number.
Parking
During regular events EIR parking is free. For the NASCAR Pinty's Series Event - the BAYER 300 (July 23, 2022) parking is $20 however there is also a free shuttle from the Wetaskiwin Rodeo Grounds (7 kms East of the Raceway). For more information click on our BAYER 300 link.
EIR also has an overflow parking area across the road from the Raceway. This will be opened when the main lot is full. There will be signs directing you to park in the overflow parking if the main parking lot is full.
The directions from Edmonton are:
Head South on Hwy 2 from Edmonton and just past Leduc take the Hwy 2A Exit that goes to Wetaskiwin. Follow this Hwy (2A) for about 20 kms. (you will pass through a town called Millet) – keep going on the same highway. Just before you reach Wetaskiwin you will come to a set of stop lights – turn right (West) there and travel 4 kms. Down that road and you will come to the Race Track on the Left hand side of the road.
The directions from Calgary/Red Deer are:
Head North on Hwy 2, take the Hwy 13 Exit (East) to Wetaskiwin. Travel down Hwy 13 until you come to Hwy 2A (Pioneer Chrysler on the right) – turn left at this set of lights, travel about 2 miles and just before you head out of Wetaskiwin turn Left (West) at the lights (the Montgomery Glen Golf Course is on your left) and travel down that road for 4 kms. And you will come to the race track on the left hand side of the road.
